Second Annual Family Day at Harborfront Park, Port Jefferson Celebrating National Estuaries Day

PORT JEFFERSON, NY – The new Promenade at Harborfront Park in Port Jefferson is the perfect site for this comprehensive maritime celebration featuring live marine animals, interactive science experiments from the Childrens Maritime Museum, and exhibits from Stony Brook University, five school districts, Atlantis Marine World, the Riverhead Foundation, the Town of Brookhaven, local scouts and many others.

This festival is supported by a grant from the Long Island Sound Study and is part of a national campaign to develop awareness of the marine environment and the importance of estuaries such as Port Jefferson Harbor.
